Happy New Year - Review

Few things one should realise before setting expectations for this movie
  • It's a Farah/ Shahrukh combo
  • It's a Diwali release
  • We haven't seen any entertainer for a long time
As Shahrukh himself accepted in an interview sometime back that he casted so many starts cos' he didn't had any story. Well, he was right and the trick worked out very well.

Gotham : TV Series

Now, Camren Bicondova is cuter, though not as hot as Anne Hathaway. Surprisingly, kid Bruce Waynes looks same in all the screen versions.

Michael Cane has taken Pennyworth to the level that everyone falls short.

Real delight is to see Penguin, yet in making.

Dreams and Demons

It rained so hard, it thundered so loud.
I peeped around, but there was no cloud.

Then I tried to focus a little more.
To bring me back to the shore.

I realised I was asleep.
Or may be in my thoughts, too far too deep.

I saw this ocean, vast and strong.
There was all growling, there was all roar.

I guessed, I needed to wake up now.
Else, I will drown with the whole town.

Haider: The Movie- Review

It's been a while when I have been in awe of any movie except for Rockstar followed by Burfi, which was more for the performance and less for the story.

This movie is brilliant on so many parameters. The cinematography, simply magical, every shot is just picturesque. During the movie, so many times I sighed wishing if I could ever click a still like those. The characters, as they say “Shakespearean women are always very strong and manipulative”, so was Ghazala brilliantly played by Tabu. One of her few performances I can really accolade to. No need to say anything about Kay Kay Menon except he pulled the movie to another level. Kulbhushan Kharbanda was like, out of sight out of mind. Wished we could see him getting some more screen time. Last but not the least, Irfan Khan, despite being in a cameo, was no less than icing on the cake.
